Memorial to PD-221 BQ-R Crew at Westerbeek in the Netherlands
Memorial to the crew of Lancaster PD-221 BQ-R which crashed on 3 Feb
1945 at Westerbeek in the Netherlands. The aircraft took off from RAF
North Killingholme at 1631
for operations over Bottrop and was shot down near Westerbeek in Noord
Brabant province. The entire crew was reported killed in action and is
buried at Westerbeek
cemetery. Further
